Dear LACS Community,
As we transition into the last two months of school, we are announcing two important changes in LACS leadership.
David Huang has given his resignation and will be leaving LACS effective June 14, 2024. This is disappointing, but we are appreciative of the efforts he initiated during his time and look forward to continuing these moving forward. The LACS School Board along with Bridges Community Church (BCC) have been working hard at building unity within the organization. This effort will continue as the School Board supports LACS Staff and Teachers through the transition and beyond. We wish David Huang well in his new role.
The second important change is we are pleased to name Lizette Hibbert as the new Head of School effective June 8, 2024. Mrs. Hibbert has faithfully served in several roles, including Assistant Head of School, Acting Head of School, and 5th Grade Teacher during her 15+ years at LACS. She is known for her relentless work ethic, deep care for others, integrity, and love for God. Loved and respected by the LACS community, we are excited to see LACS thrive under Mrs. Hibbert’s leadership. The LACS School Board and BCC leadership look forward to working alongside Mrs. Hibbert.
We will hold an open Q&A session on Thursday (Apr 11) at 5 pm in the Family Center for anyone in the community to ask questions regarding these announcements.
